If You Think All Kids Are Selfish At Christmas, You Don't Know Jack

If You Think All Kids Are Selfish At Christmas, You Don't Know Jack
Updated 18 hrs ago Jack Ratliff is a second grader at Westside Elementary in Cabot. He won the Golden Apple student award for the month of December and here's why: Aaroyn Johnson.

She has been his best friend since kindergarten. She is afflicted with autism. Jack decided to do something about it.

He organized a bake sale, and the Westside teachers brought their best goods. Jack, though only 7, researched which agency would benefit the most from the money he raised. He ended up sending the $325 he raised to Generation Rescue.

It's an organization that believes autism is curable. That was good enough for Jack. He wants to see his friend get better. Despite the success of the bake sale, you get the feeling Jack is just getting started.

Video of the presentation can be seen at http://www.todaysthv.com/news/news.aspx?storyid=77132

Congratulations Jack !  We're all very proud of your giving spirit.  Aaroyn's lucky to have you as a friend !

More information about Jenny McCarthy's Autism Organization, Generation Rescue, can be found at www.generationrescue.org

Jack is son of Heidi (PETERS) Ratliff and grandson of Barbara (KOCH) Moore.
